PowerRegEx - 45 day trial? Also, Case Insensitive flag?

Post by JABlaine »

I saw a mention in a blog about PowerRegEx, and have a summer project that will involve a lot of regular expressions, so I thought I'd check it out. Your page showed just "Download", not "Trial" and "Buy" (as with the other products on that page), so I thought I might be seeing a free product.

Upon launch, I see it is a 45 day trial - but I can find no information on pricing/purchasing... is it only available by purchasing the Productivity Pack?

Also, I didn't see how to flag a string to do a case-insensitive search. My end goal is PowerShell code, so that's not critical, but it seems like it should be obvious.

Product, version and build: PowerRegEx 1.4.34 Unregistered Trail Version. No Build number
32 or 64 bit version of product: Installer says one version for both 32-bit and 64-bit
Operating system: Windows 10 Enterprise, 1709
32 or 64 bit OS: 64-bit

Yes, PowerRegEx is includes as part of the SAPIEN Productivity Pack and can't be purchases seperately:

https://store.sapien.com/p-376-sapien-p ... -pack.aspx

But if you purchase any of our other products (such as PowerShell Studio), the Productivity Pack is included for free.

As for case insensitive searching, use \w which will match any A-Z character regardless of case and 0-9 characters.
If you want to match a specific word use the (?i):

(?i)hello

Matches:
HELLO
hello
HEllo

I will be sure to add (?i) to the list of predefined expressions in PowerRegEx.
