Re: PS Studio .EXE exits while script is still running in the background

Don't use the silent engine. Read the link I posted which will give you all of the options for the different engines and how to use them.

The point of a silent engine is that it has no console at all so there is no way to freeze the console.

Re: PS Studio .EXE exits while script is still running in the background

The silent engine has no output. What is it you are looking to happen?

If you want the EXE to wait then don't use the silent engine.

Re: unable to display variable data in text box

If you return all properties the result will never fit in a textbox. "$userdata" is an object and not text. YOu must create and format text to add to you textbox.

Run the code at a command prompt and create teh correct output as text. You can use any formatter to crete teh text format you need.

Removing Connections The connection pooler removes a connection from the pool after it has been idle for approximately 4-8 minutes, or if the pooler detects that the connection with the server has been severed. Note that a severed connection can be detected only after attempting to communicate with ...

Re: How to Clear Hostname Variable

The issue is likely caused by running multiple sessions. If you use IPs directly this will tell you if it is a session issue or if it is an access issue. Also using an IP directly will eliminate any cache conflicts as what is cached will be cached by IP. Also note that SQLServer uses different metho...

Re: How to Clear Hostname Variable

Clearly you are now adding many more layers of complexity to the issue which is why I suggest a consultant as you have left out the majority of your configuration until the last post. There is no way for me or anyone else to guess this. If you were network and database trained you would have given t...

Re: How to Clear Hostname Variable

One other note isa that the "hosts" file will not override the DNS in most situations. Trying to override DNS with a host file will cause all manner of odd conflicts. If you have to switch between networks then the DNS on the new network will give you the cor4rect name translation without any need t...

Re: How to Clear Hostname Variable

Clearly you have little technical training in databases and networking so understanding the issue will require that you may need a consultant to help you. PSS is not a replacement for technical training, it is a professional toolbox intended to be used by people trained in the technology. Also your ...

Re: Script Help

I just told you the better way. YOu also don;t need to select and convert as the selector alreadyt does all of that. YOu are enumerating the results repeatedly when you don't need to enumerate anything. WHat most people who have not learned Power5Shell miss is that PowerShell is an enumerator althou...
