Re: Removing special permissions

Yeah that correct, its only shown in UI as special permissions.

I tried with icacls like : icacls c:\temp /remove:g *S-1-5-32-545 (WD,AD) /T /C

didn't help

Re: Removing special permissions

That's what we thought as well in the beginning but considering the complexity of existing permissions we are looking for only to remove special permissions.
Thanks

Environment variable expansion

I didn't say the variable itself has spaces. The value (C:Program filestools) has spaces. When I store this in a variable and use it further, it says "cmd : 'C:Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command," I was doing : $ToolsDir = $env:EnvVariable $Exec = cmd /c "$ToolsDirtool.exe"

Error capturing advice

Hi, I have script that's been used to launch patches but it doesn't seem to capture errors efficiently. How to check folders existance at a UNC patch

Is there any way to check couple of folders existence at a UNC path? I think Folderexists method of filesystemobject doesn't have the option of checking the folders at a UNC path. Any idea or thoughts on how to get this done?
