Re: Legacy version of Primal Script contains a trojan in the distribution

Yes, we are aware of this false positive. It has been discussed quite often. We changed how we store Script engines a while ago to prevent false positives on these files. Basically these av engines use patterns to find malware. In order to improve speed, they make the patterns as short as possible a...

Re: Registering a legacy product

Unfortunately there is no way to register a version that old. PrimalScript 4.1 was last released in 2006, replaced later by PrimalScript 2007 It does appear we made a final service build on 2/25/2008. 4.1.542 was the last version released. This particular build can be downloaded from here: https://s...

Re: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

Please provide a screen shot of the error. From your description it is not clear if this happens during install, as in Windows Installer showing this, or during unlock, as in PowerShell Studio showing this. Please note that 2017 software versions may use older .NET framework that may not be fully su...

Re: Old UI when package is runas admintrator

We are able to replicate the problem. Windows Forms seems to ignore all settings about Visual Styles when executing under a different user account. Elevation is not affected, so the problems seems to be located with using a different security context. We are investigating if there is a work around.

Re: How do I create a MSI that can accept parameters?

That is not really how MSI files or installers work. An MSI file is for installing/uninstalling an application on a computer. It is not intended to pass parameters to that application.
Maybe you can elaborate a little bit more what you are trying to do.

Re: Unable to build MSI file.

The error message indicates that you have not specified any files or folders to be added to the MSI. Click on the "File and Folders" task on the left and specify all files or folders to be added to the installer. Please note that any packaged executable or the file file you derive the version inform...

Re: Unable to Activate 2016 Version - "Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel."

PrimalScript is C++ and uses the Windows API to communicate with the activation server. PowerShell Studio uses the .NET framework which plays by a different rule book. The error likely stems from old versions using TLS 1.0 or TLS 1.1. I am glad you were able to activate, but please remember that we ...

Re: V191 cannot build

Windows Error code 110 means the file cannot be opened. Generally that happens because Windows Security, malware protection, antivirus or something else lock the newly created file or whisk it into quarantine. This is not PowerShell Studio build specific. The packager subsystem has not changed in a ...
