PrimalScript does not retain Text Editor options or Style

Post by DiZzyDmon »

Product, version and build: PrimalScript 2016 7.2.93
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64-bit
Operating system: Windows 10 "Microsoft Windows Version 1607 (OS Build 10.0.14393)"
32 or 64 bit OS: 64-bit

I recently had to rebuild my computer's operating system from scratch (for a non-Sapien problem). Before wiping the previous OS, I properly deactivated my license. I reinstalled the OS, applied all Windows Updates, installed PrimalScript (and PrimalSQL), latest version, activated it.

PrimalScript retains all my selected settings except for two things:
(1) Style (Office 2010 Black Theme)
(2) Under File > Options > Text Editor > General:
(2a) Tab length = 2
(2b) "Use spaces instead of tabs"

These settings are retained within an existing PrimalScript session, but if I close the program and reopen it, those settings revert to their defaults.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling PrimalScript, but this did not help.

I've managed to reproduce this on my end and am currently looking into it.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I've alerted the developers and when I get some more information I'll be sure to post it here.

We have narrowed down the cause of this issue and it will be resolved in the next service release.

And while I can't comment on a specific time frame, when we do get it out I'll be sure to post here and let you know.

I installed PrimalScript update 7.2.94 a few minutes ago, tried it out, problem solved.
Thanks for the fix!
