PrimalScript, PrimalSense & dot sourced powershell

Post by mupdike »

Product, version and build: PrimalScript 2016 7.2.94
32 or 64 bit version of product: x64
Operating system: Win7 x64

Hello, I am (as many posters in the Powershell studio forum) using the PowerShell appdeploy toolki for deployments. I'd like to know how I could get Primal to give me the primalsense & autocompletion for the dot sourced powershell functions in this toolkit if possible.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If I remember correctly, PrimalScript doesn't support adding files to PrimalSense by dot sourcing like PowerShell Studio does, but I'll confirm just to be on the safe side.

From what I can tell, the PS App Deploy Toolkit is separate files instead of an individual module. Since it's not in a module, PrimalSense won't be able to display it. I'll see if I can find a workaround and get back to you.

As I expected, PrimalScript doesn't yet support adding files to PrimalSense by dot sourcing. However, it is on our list of features to add in a future build so stay tuned.
