Upgrade to 2019 from 2018 - program aborts after opening project

Post by pa_cle »

Product, version and build: PrimalScript 2018 Version 7.4.118 / PrimalScript 2019 Version 7.4.119
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64 bit
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
32 or 64 bit OS: 64 bit

I upgraded to PrimalScript 2019 Version 7.4.119 and when I open up an existing project - the program aborts/closes after displaying the workspace.
I tried uninstalling 2019 and re-installing, same issue. I re-installed 2018 and everything works fine, so I upgraded again and the same issue happens.
Any ideas?

We are not able to replicate this issue. Could you please zip and upload the project here: https://www.sapien.com/support/upload

I tried to upload the project and I am receiving this message:
"The uploaded file exceeds the maximum allowed size in your PHP configuration file."
The zip file is 16847 KB

One thing I tried was to reduce the size of the PWS file (currently 530 lines), I removed 500 lines and now the project opens up with no issues. I re-added 250 of the lines and the program closes/aborts.

Let me try to zip the project with the 280 lines (less source code) and see if I can upload that.

Let's start with this. What kind of project actually is this?

I am getting exceptions, because files referenced in this workspace do not exist. Can you split the original into multiple zips? I am told 8 MB is the max now, imposed by the infamous liquid web hoster.

I received all your files and we are currently reviewing the issue.
This may take a day or two, so please stand by.
I suggest to stay with the last 2018 build for the moment as you do not experience the problem there.

Please check with the service build released over the weekend and see if that fixes your problem
