Insert Snippet feature not working

Post by Russ Pitcher »

Myself and a colleague have recently upgraded to PrimalScript 2011 (6.0.167) and we've both found that the Insert Snippet feature doesn't work. I've also tried typing the name of the snippet and hitting CTRL+J. When I do that the name of the snippet that I've just typed disappears. I'm guessing that PS is going through the motions of inserting the snippet but it isn't getting the text from the snippet file. Interestingly, if I right-click the snippet and select 'Edit Snippet' the Snippet Editor pops up with the code just fine. I don't know if it's of any relevance but at the same time as we upgraded to PrimalScript 2011 we both had our Windows XP laptops replaced with new Windows 7 ones (at last!!) and we also had our local admin rights removed (boo!). I can't imagine we need admin rights to get snippets working, but I though it was worth noting... Thanks for your attentionRuss

Insert Snippet feature not working

I assume these are custom snippets and not the stock snippets affected by this. The snippet format was changed for 2011 to the standard XML format.
You can convert your snippets with the snippet editor.
(File -> Convert text snippets)
