Ribbon - Visual Text Upscaling on Windows 8.1

Post by jeremyg »

Windows 8.1 does a beautiful job of scaling the resolution along with screen elements so that you have a high resolution without text being too tiny to see. It does this by default on higher resolution screens like 1080.

I do not know what causes this, but some applications adapt to this just fine, and others have issues with it.

For example, if I right-click icons on my task bar, most of them display text nice and clear. However some of them, such as my Canon printer scan-monitor, the text seems "blurry" as a result of being scaled up/down.

In any event, all the Sapien products have this same problem on the ribbon. (and all the panels for that matter)

Attachment shows the effect as compared to Microsoft office.
