Re: Options are not saved
For example, if I go to File->Options->Text Editor->General and set the following:
[ ] Enable Drag and Drop
[x] Always open XML files as text
[x] Always open HTML as text
[x] Highlight current line
Default font: Consolas (Size: 11)
ASP.NET: C# (C Sharp)
Click OK then close. Upon re-opening, none of those settings were retained.

Re: Options are not saved
Works perfectly fine here.
You running some registry protection software?
or Antivirus?

Re: Options are not saved
My config is fairly standard. I don't have any registry protection or anything out of the ordinary other than antivirus and other network monitoring/protection.
I performed some of the operations while running Process Monitor and PrimalScript appears to have the access it needs. If I search for a string inside a file and then close PS, I can see that PS successfully wrote my search value to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.\PrimalScript 2014\Settings\SearchString
I am an admin on the box with UAC enabled. I've tried with and without "Run as administrator" with the same results.

Re: Options are not saved
Fairly simple test.
Go here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.\PrimalScript 2014\Options
Look at a value, like Open PrimalScript, go to options - text editor - general Now change it Press OK and exit PrimalScript.
Refresh RegEdit

Re: Options are not saved
I only have one registry key under Options: LastUpdate
I completely uninstalled 7.0.14 (64-bit), removed all related registry hives and folders that were left and then did a clean install of 7.0.18 (64-bit).
Still, no changes to File->Options->Text Editor-General get saved. I still only have the one registry entry in the Options hive under HKCU.
Is this happening to anyone else? Just trying to see if there's some commonality.

Re: Options are not saved
Yep. None of my options are getting saved. On Win7 PS crashes on exit (see other post), on Win8.1 app exits but nothing is saved.
Tested on 7.0.18.

Re: Options are not saved
Right click on the shortcut and select "run as admin".
That'll tell us if it is a permission problem.

I've already tried that...
