cut and paste and retain color syntax

Post by cking2 »

I posted something like this years ago to the 'wishlist' forum and did not get any replies.

Now, I just cut and pasted from PrimalScript Profile Editor 2015 to an email and it retained it's color formatting! If I do this from PS (7.1.63) it does not keep the colors. (also works with Powershell ISE and Visual Studio)

A) should this work (do I have something not set right)?
B) if not, can it be made to work?

I often send snippets to co-workers via Skype/Email and it is nicer if the color coding is retained.

cut and paste and retain color syntax

Post by SAPIEN Support Forums »

This is an automated post. A real person will respond soon.

Thank you for posting, cking2.

Did you remember to include the following?
  • 1. Product, version and build (e.g. Product: PrimalScript 2014, Version & Build: 7.0.46. Version and build information can be found in the product's About box accessed by clicking the blue icon with the 'i' in the upper right hand corner of the ribbon.)
    2. Specify if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version
    3. Specify your operating system and if it is 32 or 64 bit.
    4. Attach a screenshot if your issue can be seen on the screen
    5. Attach a zip file if you have multiple files (crash reports, log entries, etc.) related to your issue.
If not, please take a moment to edit your original post or reply to this one.

Totally different edit controls in these two products.
Very few people ever asked for this.
PrimalScript just does not copy color coded to the clipboard.

Everyone here jump in if you need this. Let us know.

Thanks, I am sure there is more to it so I will leave it to the masses.

I just put a function in my profile to open a script in Profile Editor so I can cut and paste. Now that I have that, I am hooked on colored snippets. :D
