code snippets location

Post by jkent@ »

Product, version and build: PowerShell Studio 2016 v5.2.122
32 or 64 bit version of product: ABOUT SAPIEN doesn't say.. tell me where I can see that and I will report back here
Operating system:windows 7
32 or 64 bit OS: 64-bit
PowerShell Version: 4.0

I see mention in the forums here of code snippets available in powershell studio but I can't locate them.
Please direct me to where they are. Thanks

User snippets are located at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\SAPIEN\User Snippets.

Hope this helps!

Thanks but I gained the impression from here:
http://www.maxtblog.com/2015/05/using-p ... et-sample/
that there is a store of snippets that comes with PS studio but I can't find it.

I think I found them: under the Help Tab/Product Support group/Samples
Thanks!

OK now that I can see the help in the document explorer, using the outdated link in ch15 there to get to
C:\ProgramData\SAPIEN\PowerShell Studio 2015\Snippets and changing the 2015 to 2016 I can see all the snippets at
C:\ProgramData\SAPIEN\PowerShell Studio 2016\Snippets

There's also a bunch of stuff on snippets about a third of the way down Chapter 4 'The script editor',
24 page down clicks in chapter 4 in document explorer on my system when expanded to full screen there a Snippets heading. For some reason it does not come up highlighted in yellow when searched for using the binoculars although the chapter itself does. Makes it a little hard to find
