Hello,
I'm facing a extremely annoying issue with PowerShell Studio, when i want to use the Parameters of a cmdlet, lets say like Import-Csv, the Parameters are not suggested.
This is at my Company Computer
This is at my Home Computer where it works fine
And here are the settings from the Company Computer
I tried to reinstall the SW but that didn't help either, any idea how to resolve that issue?
Best Regards
Pwn

Re: No Parameter suggestion
Is the issue limited to the one cmdlet or all cmdlets? I suspect something might be off in the cmdlet's cache.
Please zip and upload the following folder:
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\SAPIEN\CachedData 2018\Local Machine
To:
https://www.sapien.com/support/upload
Hopefully the cache files will help us identify the problem.

Re: No Parameter suggestion
It looks like you are missing the cmdlet cache files altogether. I only see the external command line tools cache. Try refreshing the cache (Ribbon->Home->Platform->Refresh Local Cache):

Re: No Parameter suggestion
Dear Davidc,
i tried to refresh the cache but nothing seems to change, it says:
>> Please allow a few minutes for the caching to complete.
>> Completed Cache Information
so this took like 1sec and it completed.
Any further suggestion?

Re: No Parameter suggestion
One sec is too fast, something is failing. Are there any new files the Local Machine folder? Also check the Event Logs for any errors.

Re: No Parameter suggestion
Dear Davidc,
I've checked the Local Machine folder and there are no new files, didn't find any specific error in the Eventviewer.
I think it's something environment specific since it didn't work on a other Company Laptop too, no clue what that could be.

Re: No Parameter suggestion
Can you verify that you have files in the following locations?
C:\Program Files\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc\PowerShell Studio 2018\CacheBuilder64\
C:\Program Files\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc\PowerShell Studio 2018\CacheBuilder32\
Expected Files:
CacheBuilderXX.exe (where XX is 64 or 32).
CacheBuilderXXV2.exe (where XX is 64 or 32).
CacheEditXX.exe
CacheProxyV2.dll
CacheProxyV3.dll
CacheProxyV5.dll
ModuleImporterV2.dll
ModuleImporterV3.dll
ModuleImporterV5.dll
You could try running CacheBuilder64.exe in the console and see if you get any error messages. This that doesn't work, we can try creating the cache the manual way by opening the CacheEditor:
If no platforms are list, try added a new version and then check the desired modules from the list:
Then press the Build button. Hopefully the CacheEdit can create files in the Local Machine folder.

Re: No Parameter suggestion
Dear Davidc,
The files are all there, when i try to start the CacheEdit64.exe the following message appears:
So i installed the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 which then Fixed the issue for me.
Thank you so much Davidc for your awesome support.
