Hi,

I have a Ps form which is working great but we d need to offer in html page for several reasons (offering the gun to lots of users f.e.).
Is there a way you can advise how to do this transition? There are some manuals on integrating power shell into an asp webpage but wondered if Sapien hasn't got a tool or advise on doing this.

Thanks for any input.

We do not have any conversion tools for this. We still have an ActiveX control that allows you to call PowerShell from an ASP page (server side):

https://www.sapien.com/downloads/

ActiveXPosh is located under Under Free Components.

Thanks. Downloaded it, installed it, finally found where it was installed (no shortcut) then read the pdf. No clue what I am or it is supposed to do.

Depending on your setup this might not be the best option, but you will have to install and instantiate the ActiveX COM on your webpage server.

From the serve side code, you have to call the COM object and run the PowerShell code via the Execute method:

Code: Select all

ActiveXPosh.Execute("Get-WmiObject -class Win32_Service | Format-Table -property Name, State")
Note: We don't officially support this COM component anymore but it is still available for use.
