Using "Alternate Credentials"?

Post by AMoeller »

To help you better we need some information from you.

*** Please fill in the fields below. If you leave fields empty or specify 'latest' rather than the actual version your answer will be delayed as we will be forced to ask you for this information. ***

Product, version and build: Powershell Studio 2020 5.7.172
64-bit version of the product
Operating system: Windows 10 (1909)
64 bit OS

*** Please add details and screenshots as needed below. ***

I am trying to add creds to a script to run on a system when it is offline. I have tried many different configurations and I can't get the package builder to wrap creds. I sometimes get just a quick black screen to pop up. Sometimes I get the command line window to pop out and run it but get access denied. Then when I run the script as that user manually it runs just fine. I am tried to use local creds and domain creds and get the same thing. I have also tried changing to use no manifest to using default manifest for elevation. I have made sure the exe is not in a personal folder, along with try run as and impersonate a user. I am not sure what all the differences are with these settings. The only I am getting to work is using the current user on my machine, which then uses my account and I am a local admin. That is not going to work for users that are out in the field that have no internet connection.

Can I please get some help in explaining the setting and showing me what I am doing wrong? Normally when I build exe with the app I leave as the current user and have our configuration manager pass creds to it.
