Right click "Edit with PowerShell Studio" menu option missin

Post by sjkoehler122 »

Hi -

My company just purchased a couple PowerShell Studio 2014 licenses to test and certify the product for our environment. In our testing, I realized that the menu option "Edit with PowerShell Studio" when right clicking on a .ps1 file in Windows Explorer does not exist. Interestingly, when I install PrimalScript afterwards, with only the bare minimum options checked, I not only properly get an "Edit with PrimalScript" right click menu, but I also get the "Edit with PowerShell Studio" right click option as well.

Here's the relevant details, please let me know if there's anything more I can provide:
  • PowerShell Studio 2014 4.1.71 x64
    PrimalScript 2014 7.0.42 x64
    Windows 7 SP1 x64
Screen shot of missing menu option, after just bare PowerShell Studio 2014 install:

Hi, we can't approve this for purchase for our company until we get past this issue. Can anyone advice?

Sorry for the delay. I did not see this post.

It is possible that the PowerShell Script files did not have their perceived type set to Text.

PrimalScript installer set it to Text during install. We will look at doing the same with PowerShell Studio.

Thank you for reporting the issue.
