I am working on several projects that require me to package up my scripts and associated files for installation to several systems. The requirements are to have these installed via MSI so we can identify outdated versions of the files and perform upgrades.
Packaging these up isn't a problem however I cannot specify a custom installation directory either via the Wizard or via command line. Is this a feature that is supposed to be working? If not, I'd like to request it as a feature because the default installation directory just isn't sufficient for some projects.
In fact, if I specify the TARGETDIR="" or INSTALLDIR="" property via command line, the PowerShell v3 check fails (even though on my Windows 10 system I'm running PowerShell v5).
OSes tested on: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Enterprise (all x64)
PowerShell Studio 2015 (Build 4.2.93)
All tests running As Admin.
Packaged MSI's do not support INSTALLDIR or TARGETDIR

Re: Packaged MSI's do not support INSTALLDIR or TARGETDIR
It's a standard installer created using the WiX toolset.
Please refer to the Wiz Tool set documentation for additional information about command line parameters.
We are considering adding more features to the MSI builder, so please stay tuned. I will make sure your suggestion is noted.
