Signing vbs with military CAC

I am trying to use vbs to sign another vbs using my certificate stored on a CAC. Can this be done? I already use it to sign VBA through the VBA tools menu, but when I try to use a script to sign, I get an unknown error. I believe it cant read my CAC and prompt me for my PIN, and I cant export to a .pfx, only a .cer. If I cant do it via vbs, is there another way?
