Powershell IDE N00b

Post by bithead2 »

I was expecting when I signed up for the trial of the IDE to receive an email, maybe something along the lines of "How to write your first powershell script" or something. I'm a Linux guy that needs to write a Powershell script to install some software on Windows computers remotely and hoped to get a little push by signing up for the trial. I didn't receive an email and while I see lots of resources on youtube and elsewhere I am not sure where to start. Can I get a recommendation? thanks, CJ

You can download the trial directly from the product page without having to signing up. If you plan to run the trial on a VM, then you will need a VM trial key, which you can generate from your Registered Products page:

If you are learning PowerShell, I highly recommend looking at our training videos on YouTube:

The information center also has plenty of articles on PowerShell and creating GUIs in PowerShell:

If you have any question about using PowerShell, I recommend posting on our scripting forums:

The forums are monitors by community experts who are happy to help.
