Is there a possibility of monthly subscription for the product - if not then is there a reason for this please?

Not at the moment. Currently our software license is perpetual, meaning you can keep using the product after you let the maintenance subscription expire.
A month to month subscription usually implies that you can no longer use the software if you let the subscription lapse.
We are evaluating which model serves our customers best, so I cannot really give you a time line or even a specific answer if that will in fact change.
