Batch Script - Syntax Highlighting is awful

Post by mrnettek »

More of a special request...please work on batch file syntax highlighting. Even using the CMD.EXT doesn't permit proper detection of variables.

Example1:
%appVar% * WITH the percent signs...isn't detected. The variable is supposed to INCLUDE the percent signs.

Example2:
"%appVar%" * isn't detected at all...nothing...nada.

Example3: The only thing that does work
set appVar= * appVar is highlighted using the CMD.EXT, in a custom color.

Not sure why the Notepad++ people can figure this out...but the PrimalScript guys can't. This isn't a new issue.
