PS 2022 Installation/Upgrade failure

Post by FCATech »

To help you better we need some information from you.

*** Please fill in the fields below. If you leave fields empty or specify 'latest' rather than the actual version your answer will be delayed as we will be forced to ask you for this information. ***

Product, version and build: PS 2022
Operating system: Windows 10
PowerShell version(s): 5.1.19041.1682

*** Please add details and screenshots as needed below. ***
I ran into this same issue with PS 2019 but can't remember what I did to resolve it. I went back to the thread and looked at the suggestions and I've made sure that my laptop has enough free space and the anti-virus is not blocking the installation.

When I run the install, as administrator, it has stayed on the 'extracting file' screen for more than an hour.

Can you please try downloading and installing PowerShell Studio again to see if the problem persists? A reboot may also be a good idea to try.
I have not been able to reproduce this behavior which leads me to believe the issue might be something related to that particular machine.

You can also verify if there are any resources in the extract location. If it exists, it can be found in the following path:
C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\SAPIEN\SPS [ProductVersion]\install
