ctrl-alt-J shortcut behavior

When I collapse a region of code to see fewer lines on my screen, if I hit the shortcut keys ctrl-alt-J to check my script's syntax, the collapsed region is expanded.
is it possible to change that shortcut's behavior so that regions are not affected by it and the view stays as is?
